Mayor of Atyrau region Makhambet Dosmuhambetov visited the regional Friendship House, where he met with representatives of ethnocultural associations. During the meeting the regional mayor got acquainted with the work of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and told about the events held within the framework of celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Assembly.

Heads of ethno-cultural associations noted in conversation with the mayor that in the starting year of the Volunteer everyone tries to make a contribution, participates in public life of oil capital, carries out charitable actions. Also, ethnocultural associations make their contribution to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Meanwhile, the head of the ethno-cultural association "Bylina" Andrey Korablev suggested holding a procession "Immortal Regiment" on May 9 along the route - from Vladimirsky Street to Victory Park.

At a meeting with the mayor, the theme of recent events in Korday was also touched upon, representatives of ethnocultural associations shared their views. The chairman of Chechen-Ingush ethno-cultural association "Vainakh" Zelimkhan Zubariyev noted that in due time the Kazakh land became native home for many deported peoples "We, heads of ethno-cultural associations, try to work on preservation of peace and calmness in the country."

After the meeting, the head of the region walked through the offices of ethno-cultural associations, familiarized himself with historical exhibits, racks, telling about traditions and customs of ethno-cultural organizations of Atyrau region.
